Having had apizza in New Haven and throughout Connecticut several times, I’d say this is not as good as a random Frank Pepe’s in some mall. With that said, for Portland it is remarkably good pizza- crunchy, no flop, a celebration of great ingredients prepared very well. Apparently the owner is CT born and raised and I’m glad they brought some CT to the PNW. I’ll be back.
The cheese is great. I do wish they had a more traditional Tomato Sauce Pie. Their red pie is fine, but misses the point of what it’s imitating.
