Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana

I loved this pizza. Drove from brooklyn to try Frank pepe and Sally's apizza. Frank pepe blew Sally's away!!! It's worth the 2 hour ride. And being from brooklyn, I know pizza 🍕 :)

Outstanding Pie in the pizza capital of the world. Crust is unbelievable. A little cheesy for my liking, but I can see the hype for this place. Phenomenal pizza. History is cool.

Finally tried the legendary Frank Pepe. Worth the wait in line. Light, crispy, great char on the crust and fresh flavor straight from the 100 year old coal oven. A MUST have! YouTube - Johnsies Food Corner

Passed through New Haven yesterday and picked up Pepe’s and Modern. I had Sally’s a few years ago so this completes the trilogy. I thought Modern was better and I am giving that a 8.0. I think Sally’s was about an 8.5. I was disappointed by Pepe’s. The customer is very good but not great. The cheese is mediocre and the sauce is flavorless. Overall, I was disappointed by New Haven and and starting to believe Trenton is the best place for pizza.

I ordered the Quattro farmaggio , classic cheese, and their version of the pepperoni .. all great pizza but the pep was oilier than humanly preferred. I can see why Dave gave it the classic the score he did.. perfect brick oven pizza crust

Hands down best pizza in New Haven. This is the only place that can handle the crowds without having to wait hours for a pie.

Wow wow it’s a chewy cheese fest! This pizza is a long way from Missouri - home of Mark Twain - but not ready to go back there anytime soon. Worth the trip!

Loved the crust on this puppy. And even after it had cooled down I found the doughy consistency of this thin pie was just right with a little bit of chew to it though. Pepperoni was definitely made in house or super high quality import. I quite enjoyed this pie and I ate many pieces and still don’t feel terrible. Can you believe that some people eat salads before pie? Fine establishment in the gun wavin haven 🤘🏻
