Definitely New Haven style, very crispy! Very well cooked, is really just lacking on the ingredients, not a whole lot of flavor in the sauce or the cheese.

They changed the boxes! Not the pizza!

Third visit, the Apizza gets a little better each time. Decent char, very little flop. Tomatoes were slightly more acidic this time. Pair this with a Foxon Park Birch Beer and you have a winner.

Alright Franky, down in Plantation at the Pepe's down here. This is a tough review because having been to the original in New Haven I have to base it off that. Now, I am fully aware how the water up north makes the difference in NY/CT pizza.....thing is, the crust is not the issue, its actually cooked perfectly, good char, very New Haven-esk....my issue is there is no flavor. I taste fresh tomatoes but no flavor. No zing, no punch. Working in this area, I wanted it to be good, I ignored all other reviews, including Dave's score..... 7.3, and mind you, it's as low as it is based on the original New Haven location, but at the same time, it is also based in comparison to the other New Haven style pizzerias I've gone to in South Florida 7.3 That's a review

Today is a day to put in the history books. I finally had the privilege of rating a place considered one of the top 5 pizzerias in the entire county. 1. They are world famous for their New Haven Connecticut style pizza, serving since 1925. They now opened in Plantation Florida and they are opening one in Delray Beach. 2. With their brick oven and hand made dough, and with the freshest ingredients, they handed me a masterpiece. 3. Sauce was amazing and slightly sweet. Cheese was the gooey/creamy type that melts perfectly in the high heat oven. Dough had an amazing char all around the edges. 4. My rating is 8.7 ( the highest score to date, beating out the famous John's of Bleeker street by .1)

As Dave said it’s not as top notch as the original location in New Haven but it’s still a solid pizza. The sweet sauce is great, the char is just the way I like it. Would definitely cut back on the dough and less grease and it would be in the 8’s. If they make it exactly like the New Haven location it would be an 8.5 for sure.

Not bad. Little thick for my liking. Ordered a pepperoni pie but may just try a cheese pie next time.

Everything Dave said was correct. High quality ingredients, a good end crust, but zero crust in the bottom. Fluffy textured pizza. It’s fine. Not like New Haven crisp.

1st visit here. For whatever reason the New Haven location was a lot better. I hear it’s all about the water….but? I asked for it well done and made a mistake so that could affect the score. Regardless, I felt it was a heavy dough, too ‘bready’. Pepperoni too thick and ‘meaty’ for my liking. Still, it was a good pizza. Just not good enough for me to take the 45 minute drive for it. If I’m up that way again, I will definitely give it a 2nd try to be fair. PS-the clam pizza was okay, and my first time ever trying one .

Lord help the dough man. Well- done extra sauce extra cheese. Pricey branding. I may just order my 3rd Patate pie of the the week at Heritage. That’s tuff

Crunch was good it but it was heavy doughy and had no sauce on it. Cheese was good but just fell flat. We are inside pic is of the leftovers.

had some of the same flavor as new haven but missing the crispness and crunch of the new haven location. felt these pies had too much cheese which lead to more flop and didn’t allow the sauce to shine.
