Open since 1993, this pizzeria is tucked away in the corner of a West Orange strip mall. Aesthetically, it’s a nice looking pie, but this is a total “Monet Pizza:” good from afar, far from good. Upon closer inspection of the ingredients, this is boring, pedestrian, generic football pizza. Thick & mostly soft dough, firm undercarriage but not crispy, zero flop, not particularly tasty, very plain. The cheese is equally basic, typical, standard pizza cheese, nothing to get excited about. The sauce is dark red and thick but completely void of flavor. This is as dull as taste gets, lacking any kind of pulse. They need to add some spice, some kick, some punch, some pizzazz, SOMETHING to give this pie some substance. When you combine flavorless sauce with generic dough and cheese, you get dime-a-dozen pizza. This joint is also “cash only,” proving that not all straight cash pizzerias are quality. Nothing to see here.
