I’m realizing a trend with this area, the best pizzas like Sabs and Angelos all have this style. The crust is on the thinner side but not too thin, the sauce is spiraled on top keeping the cheese and everything from drying out, great flavor.
Coin flip on the extra sauce, at first it seemed to sloppy and unnecessary since the regular isn’t dry and well balanced, but as it cooled down started to lean x-sauce bc it’s delish, depends on your mood.
I hear they have a sweet sauce too, worth testing next time. I can’t remember what grotto was like back in the steamtown mall days but if it was like this, no idea why they ever left… very impressed.
