Johnâs had an interesting sauce, it was sour almost like there was a sun dried type of thing going on. Not sure if thatâs a New York thing and it might be some peoplesâ jam, but for me the sauce was so powerful and up front that it distracted from the rest of the pie. I like my pies well done and with zero flop, but of course as a traditional New York pie this was going to have some more give to it. Overall solid pie.
