Apparently they didn’t have regular cheese so had to go with margarita Dough is fantastic Sauce is great as well Would’ve been a little higher if it wasn’t margarita Overall pie I had was great

This review is for Frankie's of bay ridge. The slice was underwhelming. The crust and the dough tasted OK but the sauce and the cheese was bland. The pizza tasted dry. Not the worst pizza i had but def not the best. Will not return

Big beautiful Brooklyn pizza, the way God intended it to be. Looks a little fancy but it’s old school, no nonsense, straight shooter pizza. The sauce alone will make you beg for mercy. This is top tier NYC pizza that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Don’t let this place slip through the cracks; it belongs up there with some of the best.

GREAT pizza. I will have to come back for the Brooklyn style as I prefer that over Margheritas but it was solid nonetheless.

Brooklyn pie - 8.2. Subtle but nice sauce. Not enough of it. Good cheese. Crisp parm dusting to finish. Nice slice. Margarita is likely better. Giancarlo -9.3 pepperoni cups with honey on margarita pizza. Out of this world good. This side of the pie had more sauce too. It was outrageous.

Good pie. I thought I would like it more based on atmosphere and look of the pie. Everything was good just nothing got me to put this in the 8s. Decent crunch, fresh cheese. I had the calzone before which was excellent, would highly recommend that.

Stylistically not my thing. Crust excellent due to wonderful char. Crust a tad thick. A tad chewy too. There’s no denying the quality which is exceptional and ditto for the execution. The taste just doesn’t do it for me. I guess it’s so unusual I don’t know what to make of it. Sauce is slightly above average. The cheese is a bit too much for me. Worth a try because it’s unique.

Not usually mentioned with the Brooklyn big shots, this stone flamed, brick oven, artisan pizza is quickly gaining notoriety as a must-try BK pie. Very similar in the way that Ignazio’s flies under the radar in proximity to Grimaldi’s, Lombardo’s is equally sneaky excellent. The sauce is the absolute superstar of the pie: sweet, tangy, bursting with flavor and mouth-watering deliciousness. The cheese is spectacularly fresh mozzarella, perfectly melted, delectably creamy with outstanding consistency. Working in beautiful harmony, the cheese & sauce combine for a taste explosion only to be enhanced by wonderfully fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil. Each pie is hand-made and uniquely shaped imperfect circles, with fluffy soft dough, thickish and fairly heavy, made with that great NYC water that gives each pie an incredible flavor you can’t get anywhere else. The crust is also thick & doughy but still terrifically delicious. From a taste and flavor standpoint, this pie rates in the 9s. The only factor keeping this pizza on the cusp of achieving greatness is the lack of crisp. Everything about this pie is exceptional; it just needs some crisping to reach legendary status. A little more time in the oven or slightly thinner dough and you’ve got a pizza that challenges the best in NYC. As it stands, this is a great overall pie, worth traveling long distances for and has the potential to be even better than this score.

Tremendous place here quickly garnering a big reputation. First off the inside of this place is a 10. But the pizza, cheese is incredible great tasting and ratio to the thicker almost marinara sauce. Crust is the stand out here perfectly cooked airy artisanal leaving an amazing char. It’s not my style really but I know what I’m eating here and this deserves to be in the conversation amongst the big guys.

This place lived up to the hype. Their normal plain pizza is a “margherita” so if you are looking for a traditional plain get the brooklyn style, which would have gotten a 9.1 but gotta play by the rules

Incredible artisanal style pie. Ultra flavorful ingredients, and a nice char from the wood fire oven.

Huge Margherita, great flavor, quality tomato flavor, good blend of cheeses on a light and airy crust. Their dough recipe could use a little more salt but it’s only noticed toward the cornicione.
