Drove 3 hours one way. The pizza did not disappoint.

Peels on wheels is hands down the best pizza in upstate and dare I say ‘Down-state’ NY. Artisanal specials with the highest of quality ingredients. The classic NY style cheese slice is superb. Well done to Luis and Team for delivering phenomenal Service and World class products every single time we have stopped in.

Top quality ingredients. Bottom was fairly crispy with a nice soft top. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice little place.

Artisanal pizza with great flavor and quality toppings. I thought we might be close to a 9 from looks, but they make their pizzas very well done which left the pizza a little dry in my opinion. So 8.5 is the score!

Super crisp bottom and a real quality crust throughout the slice. The sauce seemed a bit bitter to me, but it’s a good high quality pizza. It’s more fancy pizza than football pizza

I was skeptical going in after researching and reading all the reviews. This place lived up to the hype. Best pizza in town and there isn’t even a close second. The owner was amazing and explained his vision of his food and ingredients he used. This is pizza you travel for.

Great slice. You can tell they know what they’re doing. Crust was nice & crisp, slices were sturdy. Variation of cheeses used which gave it a flavorful taste. I can be a bit of a sucker for some football pizza, and this is a bit fancier but still very very good.

Rosa pie

This was one of the best pizzas we have ever had be at in New York, New Jersey, Boston, or any other of the great pizza places on this planet. The owner is from the Bronx and his attention to crispy delicious pizza with homemade sausage as a topping took this crispy delight to another level, we also ate some of the appetizers but we're not impressed. Go there for a great great great pizza.

Truly a top 5 pie of my life!! We ordered a NY style and Salsiccia split. The dough is super light and ingredients are incredibly fresh making such a flavorful pie. Not only that but Louis’ energy and love of pizza is contagious - could not recommend enough!

I had to update this review. I had it sitting at a 9.1. I went back through all 200 of my reviews, and I noticed that i had Sally’s in New Haven Connecticut at a 9.2 and Angelo’s in Philly a 9.1. Peels is far better than Angelo’s, and it’s not even close. Probably deserved an 8.8 looking back, and while Sally’s does hold a special place in my heart, and i absolutely love their Apizza, this place is better. The amount of love this guy puts into his pies is rediculous. He only preps so many doughs for each day, so he can provide the upmost quality for each pizza that leaves his business. I’ve eaten at Peels probably 4 or 5 times now (every Thursday since i’ve found the place), and each and every time, i think it cant get any better…. but it continuously does. Every week i leave this place with a huge smile on my face, and the happiest feeling knowing that i just had not only a great pizza, but an experience that i am going to remember the rest of my life! Yes, it’s that fucking good. This isn’t your typical pizza spot. Im telling you people, this is Elite level pizza, and i dont think it gets any better than this. It’s so light, airy, yet crispy, and the sauce tastes like a walk through the garden. The cheese blend this place uses has the most amazing mouthfeel as he uses different cheeses scattered across the pie and every bite is just a little different. It’s quite literally my favorite place to eat in the world, and i hope it sticks around for a very, very long time. Side Note, your best bet is to order online via their website, and and set up a pick-up time. Their website has all the details on what styles of pizzas they serve. They have Classic Round pizza every day, Detroit Style on Wednesday, and Sicilian and Grandma Style on Thursdays (Thicc Thursday). I suggest trying them all and figuring out which is your favorite. Be careful though, it’s gonna blow your dick off.

Hands down the best pizza in Rochester and the western NY area. Luis the owner is so passionate and it shows. His dough is fermented for days, freshly made in house fresh mozz and every detail is spot on. The crisp and flavor of his pies is better than you can find anywhere else.

By far the best pizza in Rochester. Can hold it’s own with the best pizza places in the country. For frame of reference, the best pizza places I’ve been to are Frank Pepe’s in New Haven and Antico in Atlanta and this holds its own with both.

As someone who has lived in Buffalo and NYC, my biggest complaint about Rochester was the lack of good pizza. I can now say that has changed. This pizza was phenomenal.

Rochester has some pretty good pizza. But it’s all that Western, NY doughy pie which I do love. But if ya love a NYC Pie that reminds you of The Bronx ya gotta hit up this joint! The ingredients are clearly fresh and the Pie as a whole is just on another pizza level. If you haven’t tried Peels on Wheels y’all need to find out!
