Pizzeria 'Lucci

Rarely do I leave notes here - but this is one of the most overhyped places I’ve seen in a while. Good solid pizza - would go back any day. But best in Jersey? Stop it.

Great pie- thin crispy crust. Nice cheese and sauce- I think a little more sauce and cheese will bring it next level- one of better pies around

Eye test - kuhblammo. Awesome. Execution- excellent Ratio - utterly perfect Cheese - perfect in every way Sauce - a hair understated, not a ton of spice but mixes perfectly Dough - I can’t say the taste is special, it’s quite plain. Bake is perfect and it all comes together. Elgar said, “Art can move mountains.” This is neighborhood and travel worthy. Spectacular. No Giants fans please. Out of your price range. And with a three cigarette pack a day habit, your taste buds don’t even work. To reiterate, this is top notch.

This is a must-try, travel-worthy pizza. I’d rank Mike Gallucci pizza right up there with Dan Richer, Mike Fitzick, and Anthony Mangieri (my favorites). The pizza had a perfectly charred undercarriage—thin, firm, light, and crispy. It featured a well-balanced sauce, a nice blend of shredded mozzarella, a sprinkle of pecorino, and a generous handful of fresh basil.

Unbelievable pizza! As good of a pizza as I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of great pizza. Between the flavor, crust and crunch, I don’t know how you can make a pizza better.

Tremendous pizza. I know this score is lower than the average but an 8.3 is damn good pizza. Best I’ve had down the shore.

It’s about time this place was featured on the One Bite App. I had this pizza last summer (Jun’24) and came away very impressed: so much so that I deem it as one of the best in the state of New Jersey. Fantastic flavor combination between its sauce and cheese. Cooked well to where there is a present crisp, while also foldable. Not too greasy.

This is the marinara (ie sans chesse). Light and crispy with just the right amount of char and bright poppin' sauce made from the freshest of (I'm guessing) San Marzano tomatoes. 9+ pie. Heads up though, a bit on the pricey side. Worth the drive and the price. Pizza genius at its pinnacle here.

Amazing pizza, excellent flavor and texture. If you’re looking for high quality tasting pizza and ingredients at the Jersey Shore, Pizzeria ‘Lucci and Del Pontes are my go to spots!
