Rocco’s has been on my radar in Naperville for quite some time, and I was finally able to snag a slice during the week. I was expecting a super fresh slice since it was lunchtime, but it was very obvious by the taste and the texture that the slice wasn’t the freshest. The slice itself is a double dough pizza, which makes it quite hefty. Unfortunately, the crust held no flavor, and the same can be said about the cheese and sauce. Hard to figure out how a pizza that has a good balance of ingredients (including the dough, cheese, and sauce) can have little to no taste. Simply put, the pizza looked very good and promising, however it just never delivered.
