Roz's Pizzeria

Ate Roz’s as a child growing up, but has probably been a decade since I’ve been in. Excited for this one. Grabbed myself a small pie, but was disappointed when Roz slammed my change down on the counter instead of my hand which was awaiting my cash. Bad day maybe? Idk get it together. However, as a professional I will not let the actions of Roz affect my scoring. A doughy pizza that lacks sauce, and flavor from the sauce that’s there. Best part of this pizza is the cheese, which is where most of the flavor comes from. Not much crust to comment on. If this pizza had a better dough it could drastically improve it. Overall this is your standard lower tier pizza with pretty standard ingredients most places have. The cheese keeps this pizza afloat, and above all the other spots that just use the basic ingredients. Summertime is pizza time, looking to get back on the circuit and bang out some reviews with my fellow enthusiasts.

I love doing these reviews and giving people realistic expectations of all the places I have reviewed. I never thought I’d become as passionate as I am for pizza and the journey doesn’t stop here! Tucked away in a corner lies this little pizza joint. I didn’t have high expectations for this place and considering the card reader has 4 labels taped to the counter stating “do not touch the card reader”, I automatically assumed I threw away my $34 (that includes a single order of wings) On to the review! The cheese was great, not much flavor but it was definitely fresh. They did sprinkle a very light dusting of parmesan cheese on top which is unnecessary. The sauce was surprisingly good. Seasoned well with bits of oregano shining through. It’s well balanced and not sweet, bonus. The dough is preventing this pizza from hitting the high 7’s. It’s undercooked and the bites I did take were chewy.

One of my favorite buffalo pizzas. Very cheesy and not too Ouch sauce but the sauce is not as sweet as most buffalo pizzas places so that’s a big plus.
