Continuing on our self guided pizza tour, this was stop #2. Got the tomato pie with mozzarella. As someone who doesn’t loooove red sauce, this sauce was QUALITY. Much less cheese than Frank Pepe (shredded vs whole slices), but I honestly think the tomato pie without cheese would be the winner - it doesn’t need the cheese!

Bucket list spot. Very good pizza. I love a well done pie but maybe this one was a little too well done. The crust has a charcoal taste. Still amazing and it didn’t last long.

Amazing... not mind blowing or maybe as good as the hype but it is amazing. The cheese and flavors aren't as good as Pepe's but the sauce is SPECIAL!

Light, Floppy but still amazingly crunchy. Sauce was insanely flavorful. Could eat 100 slices. 9.4/10

Went to the spot tried out all the pizzas. From New Jersey everyone in line was saying best spot. The plain was by far the best and that was a solid 7. All the other pies were not good we had to grab dinner some where else because we were still hungry. Would not recommend waiting an hour for DECENT pizza.

A fun experience living in CT to say I did. The history and legends of the place were intriguing. The pizza was good, the sauce was the highlight of the pizza for me. I wasn’t completely blown away. The Foxon soda on tap was an unexpected touch. If you are ok with waiting about 1.5 hours for pizza and get the full experience this is for you!
