There is only one pie in all of my years that I’ve had that’s better than this (Circles and Squares in Philly). This is, bar none, the best pizza in new Haven. I thought pepe’s was absolutely amazing but this is considerably better, and that’s saying A LOT. Such a sweet sauce, the char and grit of the crust, the cheese is fresh and melty. I’m so jealous of people still waiting in line right now. 100% worth the 45 min wait to get in. Makes the 3 hour trip well worth it. If you’re on the fence about traveling, it’s time to go for it

Small takeout might have done me dirty. Possibly not a fresh pie wasn’t piping when we got it even though I was there before my pickup time?

Solid pie. I like a true thin crust this is chewier and more bubbly. Great flavor, especially the pieces that are more charred

Had zero wait, went for lunch on a Thursday, and got sat right away. I had a plain tomato pie, and a cheese. Both were exceptional. The sauce at Sally’s is very fresh, flavorful, and well done. The dough was spectacular, and the bake was perfection. Charred, not burnt, something I didn’t understand until this visit but now do. Few things live up to their hype, but for me, this was one of them. Fantastic pizza, and the best I was able to enjoy in New Haven, which I’m fairly certain makes it the best I’ll ever have.

Phenomenal. I think the 9’s are a bit of a overhype, but on a logical scale this is still a stand out pizza with the best undercarriage and sauce out there.
