I live in Florida and made a Pilgrimage to Sally's in New Haven. My wife thought I was crazy for going up there. The pizza is really wonderful and it was worth the hour wait. My wife really liked the potato rosemary and I like the basic cheese. My daughter said it was really good. She's in 9th grade and I pray she gets into Yale so I can go up there a lot.

The tomato pie had me skeptical but I must say I enjoyed it even more than a pep & Mozz pie. Would put it slightly above Pepe’s 👍🏼

This is simply one of the best pizzas I ever had in my life. The sauce as others mentioned is next level. The undercarriage was perfect. Tied for best pizza with John’s of Bleecker in my book.

OK, so I finally made it to the famous Sally’s. And it was everything I expected. Place was old World looking, and they kept the charm. Pizza was absolutely delicious. Coal fired I believe, light and crispy, sauce was amazing. Definitely worth the drive, and a place you have to visit. They’re opening other locations in Connecticut, hopefully it’s the same. Nothing more to say.

Friday 11/10 first round of pies out of the oven. The meatball w/pepperoni was next level.

This is a different kind of pie. Must try when on the area. The crisp is where it’s at. The char is perfection. Great sauce. Ok cheese.

The sauce is delightfully fresh and aromatic, with a pleasantly thin and smooth texture. The cheese melds into the sauce seamlessly. The crust is charred to perfection, yielding a slightly ashy flavor which I love. The crust is rather crunchy-slightly more brittle than I would prefer. The face of the pizza is slightly dry, but it doesn’t take too much away from the glory of this pizza. A slice itself is very light and unassuming to the stomach, which is refreshing. I would recommend the pepperoni, as the flavor of the topping itself compliments the cheese-sauce amalgamation, while simultaneously mirroring the ashy flavor of the crust.

Good clean pizza, would’ve liked a little more burn on the crust. Yummy

No words. 10/10 best I’ve ever had. Pure perfection. God gave this place a gift.
