Pizza Review
I believe my first ever “New Haven style” slice, or what these Connecticut locals call APIZZ. I’m not a fan of an overly saucy slice, which this certainly is. Best parts of the slice is where the cheese is more populous, near the tip and midsection. It’s 100% sauce up by the crust. Speaking of, I loved the burnt and charred crustage - big fan. I know Sally’s is very highly regarded as one of the best spots in the nation. It didn’t change my life but it’s still very good. Throw on some sausage, onions, and hot peps and now we’re really cooking. The white clam pie was fine but that potato pie was excellent.
