A staple of New Haven pizza! With the classic coal-fire brick oven, this pie is literally soooo good. The crisp, the taste, the cheese… everything is soo good on this pie. IMO, the bacon is better at Pepe’s, but going off the cheese slice it would be hard to compare. This is must eat pizza, fly from anywhere in the world to eat this! 9.4, that’s the review! (Bonus, the new outdoor eating area was pretty sweet. Definitely an upgrade to being crammed in the old building!)

I believe my first ever “New Haven style” slice, or what these Connecticut locals call APIZZ. I’m not a fan of an overly saucy slice, which this certainly is. Best parts of the slice is where the cheese is more populous, near the tip and midsection. It’s 100% sauce up by the crust. Speaking of, I loved the burnt and charred crustage - big fan. I know Sally’s is very highly regarded as one of the best spots in the nation. It didn’t change my life but it’s still very good. Throw on some sausage, onions, and hot peps and now we’re really cooking. The white clam pie was fine but that potato pie was excellent.

Went in today after an hour long wait outside, followed by another hour wait to get the pizzas brought to the table. Their classic pizza had a great crust, char, and crunch with no flop. Their sauce was sweet and cheese not too strong. Their white pizza with potato was a mixed bag. The white slice itself was delicious, but the potato slices were undercooked. Overall a great place but not worth waiting more than 30 minutes.

Amazing crust and undercarriage. Inverse flop on some slices which ive never seen before. Our boy Dave overrated this one but still top 3 pie in the country imo
