Sally's Apizza

Fun to say you’ve been. Not much flavor to the sauce, sweet if you like that. The cheese didn’t do much for it other than texture. Doesn’t taste like anything you couldn’t make at home. The caprese salad was fresh and tasty. Nice staff, good service for the wait.

I was super excited to try this pizza after seeing Dave’s review but definitely had my hopes up too high. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good pie, but it just isn’t as great as some have said. Parts of it were undercooked and lacked ingredient spread, while the other half was completely burnt to a crisp (which honestly tasted a lot better than it sounds). I’ll definitely give it another try at some point, but I won’t go out of my way to do so

The sauce is so good. This pizza lives up to its hype. There is always a line up so make sure to order in advance. We also tried the veggie pizza which was delicious (nice hint of garlic and very fresh).

Good pie. I wouldn't travel again for it again.

Very tomato-y pie. Decent flop to it. Crust is great. Definitely recommend the pepperoni. Went on a Saturday and stood in line for a little over an hour. Would recommend ordering pickup, not worth the hour wait.

A little too charred/smoky tasting for me (I know that’s what you go for when you’re getting a pizza, though). Nice, fresh tomato sauce.

This pizza was excellent, but just as good as a real NY slice. If you want travel pizza go to Wilkes-Barre PA and try the blue steele fried pizza.

Very good pizza, one of the best I’ve ever had but the wait is not ideal. Waited about an hour outside and almost another hour inside. Great taste on the pizza but crust is a little charred so didn’t eat much of that.

Score is for the plain tomato and mozzarella..... Very good.... Liked the sausage and onion, but a little floppy with extra moisture.... About 2.5 hours all in on a Monday afternoon 🤦🏻‍♀️

Disappointed. Was really excited to try one of Dave’s biggest reviews and was extremely underwhelmed. It was very fresh with quality ingredients and cooked to perfection but the taste was just not there. 7.6.

Good pizza mine could have used another minute in the oven.

Sally's officially has the best New Haven pizza. I don't think it is close.

Tomato Pie > regular

Solid pizza. Very weird that people wait in line for an hour. It’s great by all means, but it’s not excellent.

I ranked my New Haven pizza trip Pepe’s > Modern > Sally’s, which I thought would be the opposite. Sally’s had the tastiest sauce. I think we did it dirty though and let sit in the box for 10-15 mins because we were late coming from Modern. Either that or they had their B team that day with their A team at Portnoy Fest in NYC. Still amazing wheel but I’ll have to go back and dine in.

Probably the best pizza ever
