I was here a few months ago and the pie I got was terrible. It was burnt to a crisp (I didn’t ask for well done) and all I could taste was char and burnt crust so today I decided to give it another try and I’m happy to say today’s pizza was on point. Just how I like it. Perfect crispness. Thin crust and right in line with all the hype. This was one of the best pizzas I’ve had and ranks right up there with my favorites Roseland and Zuppardi’s. Glad I gave them a second chance at redemption lol.

Very good old style pie. Very different from New York. Crispy and nice flavor.

It was good and it hit the spot but the bottom was too burnt for my liking. Past the line of a crispy pizza. Still good tho

Thin crust, great sauce, crispy and thin as paper. This was delicious.

Good pizza but overall underwhelming. It’s not worth a trip. Might eat again if already in town.

Great pizza but NY and Northern NJ are still the kings of thin pizza

Passing through New Haven, Ct on El Presidente’s advice has to stop and try out Sally’s Apizza. Well worth the stop. Coal fire, thin crust tomato pie with mozzarella and meatball. One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had.

Excellent crust that’s hard to match. Cooked perfectly with great char and nice and thin. We ordered 3 large pies including 2 large cheese. First one we had was good but too light on the cheese so we missed out on having that flavor. As we ate the 2nd one it was actually better when it cooled down and had enough cheese this time to experience more of that flavor. I was debating with myself if it should cross into the 9’s but I decided against it because the only knock I could find against this is it is missing that delicious milky cheese flavor I really like. For example my review for Sauce pizzeria they had that excellent Milky cheese flavor mixed in with there great sauce and good crust so it crossed the 9 range for me. Otherwise Sally’s has the best crust I’ve had on a pizza. Only one that rivals it in my view is Johnnys of Mt Vernon which I still need to give a review. Overall a delicious pie and I highly recommend.
