Salvage Yard Bar and Grill

Alright, Salvage Yard Bar and Grill, St. Louis. Cheese pizza. St. Louis-style thin crust, cut into squares. First look, it’s tight. Thin, crisp, no flop whatsoever. You could build a house on this thing. Sauce has that little zip, cheese is solid, nothing wild, but it works. Place has a great vibe, nice staff, total hidden gem. I’m going 7.5.

I ordered a 10" deep dish supreme from salvage yard. It was $20 plus an over 11% tax, and it took about 35 minutes. From first glance it looks like an excellent pizza; crust is cooked to a perfect golden brown. The sauce is good, but there wasn't quite enough of it. Cheese tasted kind of low quality; i recommend investing in real wisconsin cheese. Sausage tasted mediocre as well. Onions were the long stringy kind; why they didn't do the small crispy squares we'll never know, but what can ya do. Other toppings were good, especially the bacon. They threw in a garlic cup for free, which was nice. Overall decent pizza, and i will try their stl style sometime

Took to a “new” spot (2020) for deep dish. Sauce is tasty, watery, and not overly bold. Toppings are generous, yet cut thin and almost lost in the presentation. HOWEVER, all together- this was a delicious “St. Louis Style” deep dish. Awesome dine-in experience, great salad, and owner! That’s a review.
