Pizza Review
A great place to go for pizza (or a meal) if you like things quite simple and easy. Not much has changed since 1948~ and that’s probably a good thing. The Pizza: thin cracker crust. Very nicely proportioned cheese and sauce. 1/2 pep for this guy. 🍕Tangy & Spicy sauce- cheese very tasty—and a tad of oil/grease that you get a taste of when you finish off the cracker crust. Very firm pie, not any flop to speak of. The Place: full bar, roughly 8 seats, and a small eating area behind it, maybe 10 tables total that seats 40? One TV. Simple menu, reasonably priced. The History: flood lines marked by the storm on the inside walls. The outside signage and the interior decor scream 🗣1950’s. Ask to see the binder with the articles and pictures of the place through the the years. The Charm: there’s a lot going on, but, the real charm has gotta be Carmen, the super sweet and super friendly and super conscientious bartender/server. She’s s joy. She’s been there 9 years and the owners should be a lot more excited to have her on staff than they probably are. Such a small place you’d think you’d get a hello or welcome from all staff; but Carmen took the time to get to know us and make suggestions. 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 Get a pizza or two, they are small—-but you won’t be disappointed.
