Driving across the state and decided to try some pizza in our capital for the first time. This place has been around since 1948 so I had some high hopes. I would say they mostly delivered. The crust was amazingly thin and crunchy and really was a nice addition to the pizza. The sauce on top of the cheese was really good and the highlight other than the crust. I wasn’t that huge of a fan of the provolone cheese under the sauce. A little mozzarella would help the pie tremendously. Overall it was definitely worth the stop and I see the reason why they’ve been in business so long. The crust is so unique and I would try this place again, maybe their “Famous Bacon Pizza.”
