Tapped Brick Oven & Pour House

Place had an ok little bar vibe. Good looking ovens. Surprised by the taste, all cheese with a lot of salt. Crust is done ok with a certain flavor. Not saying don’t go just know what it is. Some of the pies with a lot of toppings looked ok.

I got their take on a Neapolitan pork carnitas and according to the bartender Jen is “our best one” and I don’t doubt it. The crust was crisp and a little floppy in the middle but redeemed itself with a flaky finish on the crust. Great quality cheese that melted perfectly but still had a chewy consistency and not over cooked. The amount of flavor in the toppings and quantity was not lacking in any way. The cilantro really added a freshness to the heat and overall a fantasticly done pizza.

The pizza is very uninspiring. Covered in soot from the unclean oven on top and bottom. Could barely eat a few slices. Sad to say fox’s pizza ranks higher than Tapped. Who ever owns this place should repent.

Come on Tapped! You can do better than this! My previous account was lost somehow so here I am reviewing this pie again and I have to say I’m very disappointed. THE GOOD The ingredients are good. The mozzarella tastes premium and I could probably eat a block of it. The sauce again has a smooth tastes that pairs well with the rest of the pie. THE BAD This pie was cooked poorly. The dough was crunchy but the middle of the pie was not cooked enough and couldn’t hold any of the toppings up. The middle also was more cool than it was fresh out of oven hot. Another gripe was the sauce wasn’t mixed properly I’m assuming as there were huge chunks of tomatoes which messes with the consistency of the pie. I like their pizza. But if it’s going to be inconsistent it’s not going to be my to stop pie shop. I like the rest of their food and their drinks are great. Their pizza however gets a….

Very thin and crust is flaky. Usually get The Burgh each time, really good. A lot of Greensburg flop.

Let me start off saying that this place is nice looking inside. Its supposedly brick oven pizza but when I ordered the pizza came out the back and not out of the brick oven in the corner of the room. So I have no idea what that's about. But regardless. The pizza is okay. It was pretty flimsy and the pizza didn't have that out of the oven temperature. But I didn't say anything and I gotta say it was an okay pizza. My mother gave it a 4.5. I say it's a..... PS. If you get the pretzel appetizer it's a massive beast of a pretzel and it's not that good.
