Heroes are good but had a bad experience with the pizza

Any pizzeria that offers personal pies earn bonus points in my book, and this lasagna pizza is damn near perfect in every way! Great cheeses, great meat sauce, awesome crispy crust, this is just about perfection on a pizza!

Ate both the specialty slices. They’re just eh, not bad but not good very eh. Scarp slice was lacking any sauce and flavor. Very disappointed

Served Selma Hyek hot in 2-3 minutes with a hard Eastchester crisp and huge White Plains flop. First Bite Score: 7.6 The sauce is well composed with a great brightness, flavor and seasoning. The consistency is almost perfect and carries a mild tang. The mozzarella is very high quality, low-moisture and has excellent salinity and chew. The dough is super crisp with great char and the right amount of burn bubbles on the undercarriage. Sub Score: 7.7 SAUCE: personally, I’d like the sauce to be less sweet, but I can see how people would disagree with me. Not much work needed here! MOZZARELLA: one of the best I’ve tasted yet. Almost perfect in every way. DOUGH: other than being slightly on the thick side, the texture and seasoning are on point. This could use a slight increase in salinity. Summary: this slice got better and better as I ate it. The only deductions were for being a tad bit oily and having slightly thick dough. Pay no attention to the low rating by other One Bite users, this should be your go-to spot if you live within 7 miles of this place!! Final Score…

Back and got a special southern Episode... nothing like a hometown slice

1 cheese slice, 1:15pm on a Friday, $3.50 Pros: No flop, impressive sturdiness. Good bit of coastline sauce Cons: Not a ton of flavor but hints of pizza oven taste Verdict: Was hoping it would be a little better, perhaps a full sized fresh pie would have left a better impression. Still not a bad slice and all the other slices on display looked quite nice. Would have tried a BBQ chicken slice had I not hit two other spots earlier

Very big slices! Very greasy. Little bit of Westchester flop. Taste is ok. Decent crunch.

Nice place inside. Good selection of toppings. Square slice was good. Crust was crunchy. Not too much cheese. Sauce was decent. Plain slice was not nearly as good. Lacking sauce and cheese was kind of oozy, like at a $1 east village place. Decent though. Crust was def good. Overall, I’d eat it again if I were in the area, but I would not go out of my way for it.

It took a hour to get this one slice and it had no flavor it is cold and tasted like dirt
