Blotto

A very special pizza review for my 200th! I feel like I’ve tried all the places in Pittsburgh so when I fly across the country I make it a mission to find the best pizza. This place was exceptional. They’re only open from 5-9, and thank god for them because if they were open any longer their hands would fall off. This place had a line from the time they opened until the time they sold out at about 7:30. I forgot to order a drink and it took me 30 minutes until the line died down enough where I could get a beer. The pizza itself was spectacular. It was cooked perfectly, the cheese was delicious and little morsels were shredded upon the crust to give it some extra flavor. I thought the sauce had an amazing taste and the fresh basil provided a fun spark to the pizza as well. What I liked about the basil is all eight slices had a proportionate amount of it. Usually when pizzas have basil on them, some slices you get a lot and some you don’t get any at all. Definitely not the case here! I can’t reccomend this place anymore. I wanted to eat in the restaurant, so they were nice enough for me to find a corner and chill and eat. I happily waited 45 minutes for this pizza, and ate the entire thing with no hesitation. I was getting compliments from the staff how well I did eating this pizza. Shoutout to this place getting my trip to Seattle getting started on a fantastic note.

Open wed-sat 5-9 (and they often sell out by 7:30) - 4 pies to choose from, no custom orders.. what a pizza... the crust is so good, high quality toppings, I highly recommend..

Dave Portnoy style pizza. Good undercarriage, crispy crust, flavorful sauce and toppings. Wonderful pizza.

Never craved a pizza like I crave Blotto

Blotto… Let’s start with the best part - the dough, although is had a tiny bit of flop it was still very crisp and light. The dough tasted like sourdough with was pleasant and complimented the rest of the ingredients. The cheese - the cheese was good, definitely can tell they use quality cheese but I wish they used a bit more of a salty cheese like Romano or reggiano. Either way, still good. The SAUCE - to be honest the sauce was a bit lacking flavor which is disappointing and the reason it’s not a higher score. You can tell they use good tomatoes but again, not much salt. I love a pizza with a good sauce and this one didn’t have it. I’m surprised because they have a tomato pie on their menu which made me jump to the conclusion that their sauce has to be good but I was wrong. Overall solid pizza, definitely one of the better pizzas in Seattle.

Sauce is great. Crust has flavor and a bit of crunch.

Best pizza in Seattle

This Pizza might be my new favorite pizza in Seattle. The sauce is slightly sour and refreshing and there is a perfect amount of cheese. The dough has a great crunch and the crust has a slight char and is slightly sour. All together this makes for an amazing pizza!

I could’ve gone into the eights, because it’s very high-quality. What knocks it down? Despite minimal flop, too tangy: when you’re going to use a tangy cheese blend, added parm is overkill. It’s also overpriced. It’s fancy pizza with a twist, and it’s a seven eight.
