DeLucia's Brick Oven Pizza

Great undercarriage. A bit thicker than it seemed. The char overpowered the flavor of the sauce. Our feelings may be due to the heavy anticipation from high scores, but we missed the hype.

Best in NJ. Drove an hour to eat this New Haven style and it was well worth the drive. The dough was extra crunchy, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The sauce was excellent, tomato taste comes through the sauce. Cheese was excellent.

Half pepperoni pie. Came out hot and with a crispy crust. A little soupy in the middle, and a bit thick which may have affected the score. Great crunch in the crust, cupped pepperonis are phenomenal.

Not sure how you get much better than this. I ate the whole pie by myself because the flavor kept getting better the more it cooled down.

My gf and I both agree this is the best pizza in nj and that’s coming from a guy from Brooklyn ny everything about it is great

Man. This pizza is like the hot piece of ass you’ve been trying to plow for a while and then you finally end up doing it an it’s a super big let down and you wonder why you did that. Crisp, undercarriage, and appearance are top notch. But the flavor is a huge let down. I don’t know how Dave gave this above a 9.

The coal fired burnt spots of cheese with the tart salty tomato sauce is fantastic

Amazing pizza. We had a local hockey tournament in Bridgewater and found this was about 10 minutes away. My family loved the crispy pizza with great sauce and cheese. We also went with half sausage which was very good.

The best pie I've ever had

The saying “never meet your heroes” rang in my ears when I ate here. I was excited to see what Dave considers a “9” pizza. Left me a little disappointed if this is it. He needs to hand out more 9’s if this is it. Still great pizza.

I gotta say I wasn’t impressed with all the hype. It was good, but I don’t think it’s the best in the state. Pizza was a little thicker than I expected.

Solid solid slice. If eating in need a reservation and will need to let them know what you are going to eat food wise.

Hot and fresh

Very good pizza. Portnoy may have gone a little high, but it was still very strong. A little thicker than I expected so couldn’t pound as many slices as some of the thinner crusts, but it was definitely worth it and I’d get it every time I’m in the area.

Exceptional pizza. Drove 21/2 hours for this pizza. Before leaving, I told the pizza maker that it was as good as the pizza in Italy. Dave was spot on with his review. Worth the trip.

This pizza wasn’t too bad, but I was weirded out, because I kept getting a musty-rag smell when I opened the box. Not sure what was going on, but it definitely affected my experience.
